On the scale of “I’d Pay To…”

So, yesterday I received a message on modelmayhem from a “photographer” telling me that he would pay me “just to watch you masturbate!!!…”

Exactly like that. That was the entirety of his message verbatim, three exclamation points and all.

This is also the first time he’s ever had contact with me.

Obviously, he’s a true professional. Duh.

But that’s not what this is about, people want to watch me masturbate (or more) and think they can pay me for it all the time.

This is about the word “just” and how it was used.

Just in this context makes it sound like what he wants to do is really no big deal.
Ex: “I just wanted to stay up for five more minutes.”
“I just wanted one more cookie.”
“I’d just like to talk to you for a moment.”

Trivial shit.

*just* watching me masturbate? Not trivial shit. What the fuck is wrong with you? As if I typically get paid for more than “just” masturbating in the presence of strangers, so actually I’d be getting a pretty sweet deal if that’s all he wants and will pay for it.

In comparison to what I ACTUALLY do (model nude), it’s like saying “I’d pay just to photograph you in a snowsuit”. THAT would be a good deal. What this guys offering? Not a good deal, because the word “just”, implies further down the line of thought process, that a) i masturbate for money and more importantly b) I fuck for money, so his “good deal” is that I wouldn’t have to fuck him, he’d settle for JUST masturbation.

How sweet.

Here’s a lesson in how NOT to act when you talk to someone online, model or otherwise. 
On the specific subset of dealing with someone who models, this is REALLY a bad approach.
For that matter, even if the person is a sex worker (which nude and fetish models are not, most of the time) this’s a bad way to go about it.
